Sonargaon the ancient capital of the period of Isa Khan's kingdom
Sonargaon was the ancient capital of the period of Isa Khan's kingdom in Bengal. The kingdom in Bengal Isa Khan's Capial sonargaon is located near the current day city of Narayanganj, Bangladesh. The great Muslim traveler Ibn Battuta visited this ancient capital in the 14th century. Sonargaon is the eastern terminus of the Grand Trunk Road, which was built by Sher Shah Suri in the 16th century, and Sonargaon extends approximately 2500 kilometres across northern India and Pakistan to Peshawar in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province.
Sonargaon about 29 km from Dhaka zero point, Sonargaon is one of the oldest capitals of Bengal. It was the seat of Deva Dynasty until the 13th century. From then onward till the advent of the Maghals, Sonargaon was a subsidiary capital of the Sultanate of Bangal. Among the ancient monuments still intact are the Tomb of Sultan Ghiasuddin 1399-1409 A.D., the shrines of Panjpirs and Shah Abdul Alla and a beautiful mosque in Goaldi village. A folk-art Museum has been established at Sonargaon in the of Jainul Abadin Karushilpa Faundation.
In the area of sonargaon under-construction 'Banglar Taj Mahal' in Narayanganj attracts huge crowd taht place as people enjoying Eid holiday throng to see the replica of Taj Mahal, being built at a cost of around Tk 400 crore.

6. The Fort of Hajiganj was the main tactical fort of Isa Khan in front of Meghna, Shitalakhya and Brahmaputra.
7. The fort across the river, few miles away in the capial of Sonargaon.
